This was probably my 6th or so trip to the Arizona Memorial, yet I learn something new each time I go. The first shot is the Arizona Memorial as we were taken out by boat. The second shot is a list of crew members who died on December 7th, 1941, and the third shot is a monument dedicated to crew members of submarines lost over several decades- you can see the Arizona Memorial just behind me in the background.. These shots were taken up on Diamond Head Crater. Here you can see the lighthouse, a machine gun bunker and Waikiki from above. Here are two pictures of Stacy at Waikiki Beach with Diamond Head in the background, and a shot of the Duke Kahanamoku statue. The drive out of Kaneohe on Kamehameha Hwy is a great drive along Kaneohe Bay, China Man's Hat and up to the North Shore. |
